Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist After moving to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as an actress in her early years as a child. She is best known for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020 (since). She was also a frequent series regular on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot TV series for New Warriors. Vayntrub is was a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her fled antisemitism at the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. Due to the family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly studied at Beverly Hills High School. In her sophomore year she dropped out and got a GED. She went on however to earn the Bachelor of Arts Communication from University of California San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
